Courtney Schmitz is the Managing Partner at the McKinney location for Johnson, Loyd & Schmitz, PLLC. She is double board-certified in Family Law and Child Welfare by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization demonstrating her ongoing commitment to legal excellence.

Courtney is a fierce warrior in the courtroom and a skilled diplomat in the hallway. You can count on her results-orientated approach to family law and litigation. As a child of divorce, she uses her life experiences to help a struggling family navigate through divorce and changes to their family.

Courtney also serves a mediator finding custom-tailored solutions to meet the needs of the individual family.

Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and son and their two rescue labs. She is a member of various legal organizations including the Collin County Bar Association, a fellow of the Collin County Bench Bar Foundation and serves in many capacities within those organizations.
